Episode Notes

Hey guys! So this week’s podcast may be full of a lot of audio issues. Tretty got a new headset, and we didn’t do the smart thing of testing and adjusting his audio before recording. I’ve edited and adjusted his sound as best as I could, but the quality isn’t especially great. I’m sorry about that guys, I promise our next episode will be much more professional- well as much as we tend to be anyway.

These next few episodes may also be considerably shorter than the norm. After I get through the current slew of indie games on my list, I’ll be taking a break from the podcast for about a month to work on my own game in progress. I also need some time to set up interviews for future episodes, which always depends on timing and time zones, but i’m hoping to have some really awesome folks join the podcast for a pleasant chat or two!

Other than that, I’m still getting the word out about the new form I’ve put up on the website for developers to tell me about their games! There are so many, and I know I’m missing out on a ton of them! If you’re interested in hearing your game talked about on the podcast, just go to indiegamepodcast.com/developers or message me about it @bluebirdplays on twitter!

CHOO CHOO by PixelPixel Studios

Today we have one game that reached out to us over this past week – It’s called CHOO CHOO by PixelPixel Studios and is an addicting mobile game where you test your reflexes and guide a train through all the correct intersections without crashing.
I’ve had this game on my phone all week, and I’ve played every single day – oh god, it’s addicting! It’s a very simple game that’s easy to grasp, the visuals are solid, I even found myself listening to the music, which is some very catchy electro-swing.

Featured Game of the Week

Milkmaid of the Milky Way by Mattis Folkestad

A lovely point-and-click adventure game that pays homage to the adventure games of old, with stylized pixel graphics, a wonderful soundtrack, and a compelling story about a milkmaid and her cows. And space. And aliens.
